Clinical Philosophy
"My approach to therapy is guided by scientific research while maintaining the flexibility and sensitivity needed for therapy to be effective for each unique individual."
The foundation of Dr. Henderson's clinical work is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — an approach that utilizes cognitive (how we think) and behavioral (what we do) strategies to influence how we feel and, in turn, how we think and behave in future situations.
Above all else, clients can expect to be treated with respect. The best predictor of success in therapy is a good relationship with the therapist — Dr. Henderson works collaboratively as a partner in helping each person reach their goals.
